Unscrew the side securing bolts on the engine support.
9)
Remove the engine securing bolt (1) and push the support
forwards.
N.B.:
To remove the cylinder head, the cylinder and the piston,
see corresponding chapter in this section.

ENGINE ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1)
Remove the seat – see "Removing the seat" in Section
4 "CHASSIS".
2)
Remove the fuel tank – see "Removing the fuel tank" in Section
4 "CHASSIS".
3)
Remove the left-hand side fairing.
4)
Disconnect the battery.
5)
Drain the cooling circuit (drain screw [1] on the water pump).
6)
Remove the chain guard (two bolts).
7)
Remove the chain.
8)
Remove the exhaust – see "Removing the exhaust" in Section
4 "CHASSIS".
9)
Disconnect the oil supply and the oil pump control cable.
10)
Remove the clutch cable.
11)
Disconnect the starter motor, the neutral switch, the magneto
output wiring (the yellow cable and high-tension coil supply ca-
bles), the suppressor and the temperature sensor.
12)
Disconnect the carburettor heating pipes.
13)
Separate the carburettor from the air fi lter box and inlet con-
nectors.
14)
Disconnect the coolant pipes on the water pump and cylinder
head.
