Chapter 7 - Using the MultiVOIP Software

Changing IP Parameters

The IP Setup dialog box establishes the IP address for the local Ethernet LAN and defines the
Internet gateway address. The IP Setup dialog box is accessed by clicking IP on the MVP120
Main menu.
With IP Setup dialog box displayed you can change the status of Diffserv, the Ethernet Frame
Type, the IP address and IP Mask of your H.323 endpoint, and the Gateway Address of the IP
address of the device connected to the Internet.
Selecting the Enable Diffserv check box enables Diffserv. Diffserv provides priority to voice
packets so that they are not delayed whenever large data files need to be downloaded. Check
with your systems administrator to determine if any routers in the VOIP network support this
feature. If so, enable this function.
