How does UPnP work?
UPnP networking technology provides automatic IP configuration and dynamic discovery of devices added
to a network. Services and capabilities offered by networked devices, such as printing and file sharing, are
available among each other without the need for cumbersome network configuration. In the case of
KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160, you will see KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 shortcuts under My Network Places.
Enabling UPnP port forwarding allows the KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 to open a secondary HTTP port on the
router-not HTTP port-meaning that you have to add the secondary HTTP port number to the
KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 public address in order to access the KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 from the Internet.
For example, when the HTTP port is set to 80 and the secondary HTTP port is set to 8080, refer to the list
below for the IP address of the KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160.

If the PPPoE settings are incorrectly configured or the Internet access is not working, restore the
KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 to factory default; please refer to Restore on page 54 for details. After the
KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 is reset to factory default, it will be accessible on the LAN.
Port
HTTPS port: By default, the HTTPS port is set to 443. It can also be assigned to another port number between
1025 and 65535.
FTP port: The FTP server allows the user to save recorded video clips. You can utilize Panasonic's Installation
Wizard to upgrade the firmware via FTP server. By default, the FTP port is set to 21. It also can be assigned
to another port number between 1025 and 65535.
Two way audio port: By default, the two way audio port is set to 5060. Also, it can also be assigned to another
port number between 1025 and 65535. Note that as JPEG only transmits a series of JPEG images to the client,
to enable the two-way audio function, make sure the video mode is set to "H.264" on the Media ® Video ®
Stream settings page and the media option is set to "Media ® Video ® Stream settings" on the Client
settings page.
