KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 will be listed in My Network Places. You can click the shortcut to link to the web
browser. Note that to utilize this feature, please make sure the UPnP component is installed on your computer.
Enable UPnP port forwarding: UPnP port forwarding, or NAT traversal, automatically configures port
mapping in a NAT router. To allow access from the Internet, select this option to allow the KX-NTV150/
KX-NTV160 to automatically open ports on the router so that video streams can be delivered to the outside of
a local network. In order to utilize this feature, you will first need to ensure that the UPnP port forwarding feature
is supported and working on your router.
PPPoE (Point-to-point over Ethernet): Select this option to configure your KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 to make
it accessible from anywhere as long as there is an Internet connection. Note that to utilize this feature, it requires
an account provided by your ISP.
Follow the steps below to acquire your KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 public IP address.
1.
Set up the KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 on the LAN.
Go to Configuration ® Event ® Event settings ® Add ® Action ® Add server (please refer to Add

server on page 109) to add a new email or FTP server.
Go to Configuration ® Event ® Event settings ® Add ® Action ® Add media (please refer to Add

media on page 112).
Select System log so that you will receive the system log in TXT file format which contains the
KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 public IP address in your email or on the FTP server.
4.
Go to Configuration ® Network ® General settings ® Network type. Select PPPoE and enter the user
name and password provided by your ISP. Click Save to enable the setting.
5.
The KX-NTV150/KX-NTV160 will reboot.
