Appendix A
When both controllers are powered on, next step would be accessing and configuring
IPMI IP Addresses.
Controller Management through IPMI Overview
This section describes how to access the IPMI on each controller.
You can perform other actions with the IPMI, however that is outside the scope of this
document. For more information on what else you can do with IPMI, see the Help
information from within the IPMI web user's interface (web UI).
This document uses the terms IPMI and BMC (Baseboard Management Controller)
interchangeably. The BMC is actually part of the IPMI architecture. The BMC is the
main controller and a physical chipset that resides on the controller. So literally, the
BMC is the chip (or chipset) of the IPMI implementation on the controller; or the
controller's IPMI.
