Check that the printer's "IP Address" and "Host Name" are registered in the "etc/hosts file".
When using the lp protocol, check that the remote printer's logical printer name (example: rp=lp) is registered in the "etc/hosts file".
The logical printer names include "lp", "sjis", and "euc": "lp" is used for non-conversion output setting, "sjis" being used for JIS
PostScript kanji conversion output, and "euc" is used for EUC PostScript kanji conversion output. Values other than the above are all
invalid. For B432dn, only "lp" is valid as a logical printer name.
When using the ftp protocol, check that the output destination (Ethernet board logical directory name) is specified. The output
destinations include "lp", "sjis", and "euc": "lp" is used for non-conversion output setting, "sjis" is used for JIS PostScript kanji
conversion output, and "euc" is used for EUC PostScript kanji conversion output. Values other than the above are all invalid. Only "lp"
is valid as an output destination.

Check that you can connect to a printer by using a Web browser.

Check that you can connect to the printer by using ping. In the Windows Command Prompt window (MS-DOS prompt), type "ping
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the printer), and then press the <Enter> key.
