Throttle Pedal Inspection

If the throttle pedal has excessive play because of cable
stretch or misadjustment, it will cause a delay in throttle
response. In addition, the throttle may not open fully. If the
throttle pedal has no play, the throttle may be hard to
control, and the idle speed may be erratic.
Check the throttle pedal play periodically in accordance
with the Periodic Maintenance Chart and adjust if
necessary.

Throttle Stop Speed Control

Use the following procedure to control how far the throttle
opens.
IMPORTANT: This procedure should be performed
by consumers only when they determine that their
child is capable of handling the additional speed.
Throttle Pedal
1. Loosen the jam nut.
2. Turn the screw clockwise to increase speed or
3. Tighten the jam nut after adjusting.
