NOTE: When installing the tines, it is important that the
correct tines are used and they are installed in the
proper orientation.
5.
To determine which tine is right or left:
5a. Hold the tines with the cutting edge towards
you. See Figure 7.6.
5b. If the tine curves to the left, it is a left handed
tine.
5c.
If the tine curves to the right, it is a right handed
tine.
NOTE: The right and left tine holders are the same part
number.
NOTE: The end of the tine holder with the clevis pin hole
slides onto the tine shaft first. See Figure 7.7.
6.
Install two left hand tines and two right hand tines to
the flange closest to the shoulder end.
See Figure 7.8.
7.
Install four right hand tines on the outside flange of
the left hand tine assembly.
8.
Install four left hand tines on the outside flange of the
right hand tine assembly.
NOTE: The inside of the curve of the tine should face the
center of the flange.
NOTE: Tighten the nuts and bolts to a torque of 35 ft lbs
(47 Nm)
