Device descriptor. This is a general description of the
device. There are three device descriptors:
access drives, such as hard disk and floppy drives;
sequential access drives, such as tape drives; and
for optical compact disc drives.
Memory slot number.
Amount of memory in the slot. The amount can be 4 or
16 megabytes. All slots should have the same amount of
memory, because all memory modules in a workstation
should be the same size.
Table 11-2 shows module codes, including examples of codes for
some TURBOchannel option modules. For more information
about specific option modules, refer to the documentation that
came with the module.
