Problem
Nothing happens
when you try to use
a communications
device.
Solution
1. Make sure the device is turned on.
2. Shut down your worksystem software, if necessary, and
turn off the device and the system unit.
3. Make sure the device power cord is connected to an active
power source.
4. Make sure the connector on the communications device
cable is correctly attached to the communications
connector or the communications connector adapter on
the system unit.
5.
Make sure the right type of cable is connected to the
device. Check the guide that came with the device to
determine the proper cables.
6. Verify that the proper type of cable is being used.
7. Turn on the system unit and the device.
If the problem is not fixed, see the manuals for the device.
