Patient Security Mode

The Avant 9700 features a Patient Security mode, which allows users to view—but
not change—time, date, SpO
pulse volume settings. Patient Security mode prevents accidental changes to critical
parameters.
NOTE: Patient Security mode is not disabled when the unit is turned off.
Use the following procedure to activate Patient Security mode.
1.
Press the Settings button to enter the Parameter Adjustment menu.
2.
Press the Right Control button until the Patient Security Mode icon is
highlighted.
3.
Press and hold the Plus and Minus buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
When Patient Security mode is invoked, the Patient Security Mode display
reads "YES," and a padlock icon appears. Upon returning to
Plethysmographic Waveform view, the padlock icon appears at the bottom of
the LCD display.
