Error Message
Document Jam The document was not
inserted or fed properly, or
the document scanned
from the ADF was too
long.
DR Mode in Use The machine is set to
Distinctive Ring mode. You
cannot change the
Receive Mode from
Manual to another mode.
Drum Error The corona wire on the
drum unit needs to be
cleaned.
The drum unit has reached
the end of its life.
Duplex Disabled The duplex tray is not
installed properly.
Fuser Error The temperature of fuser
unit does not rise at a
specified temperature
within specified time.
The fuser unit is too hot.
Init Unable XX The machine has a
mechanical problem.
Jam Duplex The paper is jammed in
the duplex tray.
Jam Rear The paper is jammed in
the back of the machine.
Jam Inside The paper is jammed
inside the machine.
Jam MP Tray The paper is jammed in
the MP tray of the
machine.
Jam Tray 1 The paper is jammed in
Jam Tray 2 the paper tray of the
machine.
No Paper The machine is out of
paper or paper is not
properly loaded in the
paper tray.
No Response/ The number you dialed
Busy does not answer or is busy.
No Toner The toner cartridge or the
drum unit and toner
cartridge assembly is not
installed properly.
No Tray The paper tray is not
completely closed.
Type of Error
Remove the jammed paper from the
ADF.
Set Distinctive Ring to Off.
Clean the corona wire on the drum
unit.
Replace the drum unit.
Remove the duplex tray and install it
again.
Do one of the following:
Turn the power switch off, wait a few
seconds, and then turn it on again.
Leave the machine for 15 minutes
with the power on.
Perform processing with the error
code.
Remove the jammed paper from the
duplex tray.
Remove the jammed paper from the
back of the machine.
Remove the jammed paper from the
inside of the machine.
Remove the jammed paper from the
MP tray.
Remove the jammed paper from the
tray 1 or 2.
Do one of the following:
Refill the paper in the paper tray or
MP tray.
Remove the paper and load it again.
Verify the number and try again.
Re-install the toner cartridge or the
drum unit and toner cartridge
assembly.
Close the paper tray properly.
