REMOVAL
•Gasoline is extremely flammable. Avoid fire during
work, and pay particular attention to electric sparks.
Furthemore, the evaporated (gasified) gasoline is
highly explosive. Work in a well-ventilated areas.
● Release the seat lock by turning the main switch key to
open the seat.
● Remove the following parts.
- Luggage box. (⇨3-2)
- Floor panel leg.
- Center cover.
- Rear center cover.
- Rear carrier/Back rest.
- Body cover.
● Remove the fuel tube from the fuel tank.
● Remove the tube between the fuel tank and the fuel
filter.
● Remove the fuel vapor tub.
● Remove the fuel tank.
● Install in the revers order of removal
•After removing the fuel tank, be sure to close the
fuel tank cap.
CARBURETOR
REMOVAL
● Remove the luggage box. (⇨3-2)
● Remove the center cover. (⇨3-3)
● Remove the air cleaner. (⇨2-5)
● Loosen the throttle cable lock nut, and remove the
throttle cable from the carburetor.
● Remove the fuel tube from the carburetor.
● Remove the wiring coupler of the auto bystarter.
● Loosen the set plate setting screw.
● Loosen the screw of the carburetor insulator band 46.
● Remove the carburetor.
