Pull out the hood cap (1).
Loosen the scew (2) counter-­clockwise and remove the
hood (3).
Push u p t he c ombination s witch ( 4) (Choke position) to prevent
dirt p articles f rom f alling i nto t he c arburetor.
Pull t he a ir fi lter c over t ab ( 5) slightly in the direction of the
arrow, a nd r emove t he a ir fi lter c over.
Remove t he a ir fi lter ( 6).

IMPORTANT: Cover the intake opening with a clean cloth to
prevent d irt p articles f rom g etting i nto t he c arburetor.

If t he fi lter i s v ery d irty, c lean i t i n l ukewarm w ater w ith d ish-­
washing detergent.
Let t he a ir fi lter d ry c ompletely.
If t he fi lter i s v ery d irty, c lean i t f requently ( several t imes a d ay),
because o nly a c lean a ir fi lter p rovides f ull e ngine p ower.

CAUTION:

Replace d amaged a ir fi lters i mmediately.
Pieces of cloth or large dirt particles can destroy the
engine!

Insert t he a ir fi lter ( 6) in the illustrated direction.
CAUTION:
Do n ot i nsert t he a ir fi lter u pside-­down, e ven a fter
cleaning i t. O therwise d irt p articles o n t he o utside

surface o f t he a ir fi lter c ome i nto t he c arburetor a nd
can c ause a n e ngine t rouble.
Put o n t he a ir fi lter c over.

Note: T he a ir fi lter c over t ab ( 5) will engage automatically if
the a ir fi lter c over i s p roperly p ositioned.

Push down the combination switch (4) and press the throt-­
tle (7) all the way down one time in order to deactivate the
throttle lock.
Put on the hood (3). When doing so make sure that the lower
pins (8) on both sides of the hood engage properly (when
correctly assembled, the pins should not be visible).
Tighten screw (2) clockwise.
Return the hood cap (1).
