PUTTING I NTO O PERATION
Only for models with fastening nuts

CAUTION:
Before doing any work on the guide bar or chain, al-­
ways s witch o ff t he e ngine a nd p ull t he p lug c ap o ff t he
spark p lug ( see " Replacing t he s park p lug"). A lways w ear
protective g loves!
CAUTION:
Start t he c hain s aw o nly a fter h aving a ssembled i t c om-­
pletely a nd i nspected.
Mounting t he g uide b ar a nd s aw c hain
Use the universal wrench delivered with the chain saw for
the following work.
Put t he c hain s aw o n a s table s urface a nd c arry o ut t he f ol-­
lowing s teps f or m ounting t he g uide b ar a nd s aw c hain:
Release the chain brake by pulling the hand guard (1) in
direction of arrow.
Unscrew retaining nuts (2).
Pull o ff t he s procket g uard ( 3).
Turn chain tensioning screw (4) t o t he l eft ( counter-­clockwise)
until the pin (5) of the chain tensioner is underneath the
threaded pin (6).
Put o n t he g uide b ar ( 7). Make sure that the pin (5) of the chain
tensioner e ngages i n t he h ole i n t he g uide b ar.
