4. Troubleshooting

Telephone

Condition
Nothing is heard
through the handset.
No ringer sound is heard
after dialing.
It is difficult to hear
when on-hook dialing is
used.
Cause
The extra telephone set cord is
not connected to the main
unit.
The line cord is not connected
to the main unit.
Line is engaged.
The appropriate type of line is
not set.
The Monitor Sound Volume is
set too low.
Countermeasures
Connect the extra telephone set
cord to the main unit.
Connect the line cord to the
main unit.
Try again once the line is free.
Reset the appropriate type of
line.
Increase the Monitor Sound
Volume.
