Make a call to a Department
You may wish to ring a Department in order to talk to an available member of the Personnel
department, for example, rather than ringing one specific member of that department only to find
they are not available and then having to ring another extension, etc.

If you know the extension number of the Department required you can dial this number in the
normal way. Alternatively, you can use the Contacts directory to call the Department as follows:

Press the Directory button to access the directory.

Use the Search facility to find the Department required.

Use the navigation keys
press accept.

A call to the Department will be made automatically.

Transfer a call to a Department

Place the call on hold by press the hold button

Press the directory button to access the directory

Use the Search facility to find the Department required

Use the navigation keys to select the Department you wish to call and then press
accept

Press accept to call the extension number displayed.

Wait for the call to be answered and announce the call

Transfer the call by replacing your handset or by pressing the Speaker button. You
will no longer have control of the call.
If at any time during this process you wish to return to your original caller press the Recall button.

Calls History
Your Calls History can also display the incoming answered and missed calls received for a
Department. Your System Administrator can configure this facility for you, if not already available.
If a call was received by a Department this will be displayed on the second line of the call details.

This facility will also give you access to voicemail messages for the Department, please refer to the
Voicemail section from page 42 for further information.
