A few common cable types which can be cut with TC096:
– P.I.L.C. 4 core low voltage copper conductor section 3x240 plus 1x150 sqmm.
– P.I.L.C. 3 core high voltage copper conductor section 3x240 sqmm.
– P.I.L.C. 3 core copper or aluminium conductor section 3x240 sqmm.
– Multi core cables copper armoured, e.g. section 3x240 sqmm.
– Single core copper conductors 1x800 sqmm.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
2.1) Setting
The head is equipped with a "self-lock" quick male coupler suitable for connection to a
hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical pump from the Cembre range.
Before use, check that the lower disc (36) is fully secured by the circlip (37); see
Fig. 2
2.2) Blade positioning
Position the cutting head on the cable to be cut.
Operate the pump to close the blades.
Make sure the blades are exactly positioned on the desired cutting point; otherwise re-
open the blade, as § 2.4 and re-position the cutting head.
2.3) Cutting
Operate the pump to close the blades and progressively cut the cable.
This head has been specifi cally designed for cutting copper or aluminium
cable, do not attempt to cut steel ropes or steel reinforced cables.
2.4) Blade opening
To open the blades, fully discharge the oil pressure from the pump.
