Bleed Valve Flag - Eurocopter AS 350 83 Flight Manual

FLIGHT MANUAL
6 BLEED VALVE FLAG (on VEMD) .
The flag disappears when the bleed valve closes.
The bleed valve is normally open when the engine is shut down, during
starting and at low power set~ings.
If the flag does not disappear at high power settings, the maximum available
engine power is reduced, especially in cold weather.
If the flag does not reappear at lower power settings. the engine may surge.
Avoid sudden changes in power settings.
This failure results in ignition of the amber GOV warning light.
