HYDRAULIC
SYSTEM

The
hydraulic
system
reduces
the
pilot's
workload
by
providing
hydraulically
assisted
servo-controls
to
actuate
the
flight
controls.
The
hydraulic
fluid
used
must
comply
with
specifications
AIR
3520
or
MIL-H-83282.
The total
system
fluid
volume
is
3 liters
(0.79
US gal.
or
0.66
UK gal.)

up to the maximum level
mark on the reservoir.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The
hydraulic
system
basically
includes
the

-A
gear
pump (20)
driven
by the
main
gearbox.
-A
regulator
unit
mounted
on the
R.H.
side
of
the
M.G.8..
containing:

pressure
regulating
valve

pressure
switch

.a
filter

.a
solenoid
valve

-A
hydraulic
reservoir

supplying
the
pump.
-Three
single-cylinder
main
servo-controls

fixed

Each
servo-contro1
is
equipped
with
a safety
system
comprising:

hydraulic
accumulator

the
event
of
a hydraulic
pressure
failure,
this
system
provides
hydraulic
assistance
for
sufficient
time
to
enter
a flight
configuration
