• Non-Genuine Mode
Purpose:
To use toner cartridges of another manufacturer.
NOTE:
Using non-genuine toner cartridges may make some printer features unusable, reduce print quality and decrease the
reliability of your printer. Fuji Xerox recommends only new Fuji Xerox brand toner cartridges for your printer. Fuji Xerox does
not provide warranty coverage for problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by Fuji Xerox.
Before you use toner cartridges of another manufacturer, be sure to restart the printer.

Toner

• Adjust Altitude

Purpose:
To specify the altitude of the location where the printer is installed.
The discharge phenomenon for charging the photo conductor varies with barometric pressure. Adjustments are
performed by specifying the altitude of the location where the printer is being used.
NOTE:
An incorrect altitude adjustment setting leads to problems such as poor printing quality and incorrect indication of remaining
toner.

• Machine Life
Purpose:
To specify whether to continue print operations when the printer comes to the end of its service life.
Values:
Stop Print*
Continue Print
NOTE:
When the printer no longer operates showing the error code 191-310 on the LCD panel, press the
button at the same time and change the Machine Life setting to Continue Print. Then, you can keep using the
printer.
Although you can keep using the printer after the end of its service life by changing the setting to Continue Print, the
printing quality is not guaranteed.

Secure Settings

Use the Secure Settings menu to set a password to limit access to the menus. This prevents items from being
changed accidentally.
NOTE:
The value marked by an asterisk (*) is the factory default setting.
