Straight stitched buttonholes
• select stitch No. 59
• the sequence is determ ined by the
presser foot used
• this program fu n ctio n s exactly the
sam e as the corresponding
buttonho le program w h ich w ill be
stitched over the straig h t stitched
buttonhole
Seam ripper
• use the seam ripper to cut the
bu tto n ho le open, startin g at each
end and w o rkin g to w ard s the
middle
Buttonhole cutter and block
• place the fab ric on a piece of w ood
• position the cu tter in the cen ter of
the butto nho le
• press the handle of the cu tter to
punch the bu tton ho le
Buttons w ith 2 and 4 holes can be
sew n on by m achine.
Button sew-on program
• select stitch 60
• the button sew -on fo o t No. 18 is
availab le as a special accessory
• the distance (sh an k) betw een the
button and fab ric can be adjusted
as desired
