Stitch counter buttonholes (all types)

Corrections for thick buttons
• fo r buttons w h ich are p a rticu la rly
th ick , e.g . raised buttons e tc ., do
not move the vertical line right up
to the edge of the button
• move it to w ith in about 1 -4 mm of
the right edge of the b utto n,
depending on the button height
The first bead of the bu tto n ho le is
sew n fo rw a rd and the second,
backw ard s
Stitch using B u tto n h o le Foot 3 or
A u to m atic Bu tton h o le Foot 3 A ; sew
at a co n sistent speed.
Presser foot
• select b utto nhole
• touch the presser fo o t 3 sym bol
• the m achine registers th at the
stitch co u n ter program has been
selected
1st bead length
• sew the first bead, stopping the
m achine at the desired
bu tto n ho le length
Bartack, 2nd bead
• the m achine sew s the end of the
bu tto n ho le and au to m atically
sw itch e s to stitch in g the reverse
bead
artack, securing stitches
• the m achine sew s 5 bartack
stitch es and secures the
bu tto n ho le au to m atically
• auto appears under the graph ic of
the butto nho le on the screen
• the bu tto n ho le is now program m ed

Buttonholes
Recommendation
• sew a test b u tto n ho le on a scrap of
the fab ric and in terfacing you
intend to use
• cut butto n ho le open
• push button through hole
• co rrect the size if necessary

reprogram m ed fo r d iffere n t fa b rics.
