How to be sure your workstation recognizes the drives you've installed

9.1 Disk Drives That Digital Supports

You can install several different drives inside your system unit, including:
RX26 floppy disk drive (2.8 megabytes)
RZ23L hard disk drive (121 megabytes)
RZ24 hard disk drive (209 megabytes)
RZ25 hard disk drive (426 megabytes)
The hard disk drives are SCSI devices; the floppy disk drive is not. Digital
will make other drives available from time to time. Please consult your Digital
representative about these devices as they are released.
All disk drives other than these must be connected externally. Chapter 6
describes external storage devices you can connect to your workstation.
The TURBOchannel Options User's Guide tells you about SCSI devices you can
connect to the TURBOchannel option slots in the system unit.
Don't touch anything inside the system unit until you put on the
antistatic wrist strap provided by Digital. See Figure 1–5.
