5.1 If Your Workstation Is Not Part of a Network
If your workstation is not part of an Ethernet network, you must have a
loopback connector in the Ethernet connector on the back of the system unit
to run the system self-test successfully. The system self-test will fail if your
workstation is not connected to a network and has no loopback connector
installed. The loopback connector comes with your workstation.

5.1.1 Connecting the Loopback Connector

1. Hold the loopback connector so its widest part is on top.
2. Push the loopback connector all the way into the ThickWire Ethernet
connector on the system unit.
