Encryption

AES for commands of KVM Keyboard & Mouse over IP
AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard. AST2300 and its Java Remote KVM pro-
gram use AES cipher algorithm to encrypt and decrypt the control commands of KVM
transmission. This protects the server from hacker remote control.

Hardware Cryptographic Engines

AST2300 embedded hardware AES cryptographic engines to enhance encryption/decryp-
tion performance.

4.5 Miscellaneous

KVM and Discovery Occupy TCP and UDP Port on network

AST2300 use TCP port. Firewalls allow these ports to communicate with Java Remote KVM
and Discovery.
KVM: 8890 (TCP)

Discovery: 2000(UDP) , 5000(Multicast: 225.0.0.1)

