Syntax
ip ospf hello-interval interval
no ip ospf hello-interval
Parameter
Interval —— The interval of the hello packets, ranging from 1 to 65535 seconds
and the default value is 10 seconds.

Example
Configure the interval of the hello packets sent on interface VLAN 2 as 20
seconds:
T2700G-28TQ(config-if)# ip ospf hello-interval 20

ip ospf dead-interval

Description
The ip ospf dead-interval command is used to set the number of seconds after
the last device hello packet was seen before its neighbors declare the OSPF
router to be down. To restore to default value, please use the no ip ospf
dead-interval command.
Syntax
ip ospf dead-interval interval
no ip ospf dead-interval
Parameter
interval—— The neighbor's failure interval, ranging from 1 to 65535 seconds

Example
Configure the neighbor's failure interval on interface VLAN 2 as 50 seconds:
T2700G-28TQ(config-if)# ip ospf dead-interval 50
and the default is 4 times the hello interval.
