area virtual-link authentication-key

Description
The area virtual-link authentication-key command is used to configure the
simple authentication key. To delete the key, please use the no area virtual-link
authentication-key command.
Syntax
area transit-area virtual-link router-id authentication-key { [ 0 ] password | 7
encrypted-password }
no area transit-area virtual-link router-id authentication-key
Parameter
transit-area —— The transition area ID, in the format of an IP address in dotted
decimal notation or decimal value ranging from 0 to 4294967295.
router-id —— The ID of the neighboring router on the other endpoint of the
virtual link, in the format of dotted decimal notation.
0 —— Specify the encryption type. 0 indicates that an unencrypted password
will follow. By default, the encryption type is 0.
password —— Super password, a string from 1 to 8 alphanumeric characters or
symbols. The password is case sensitive, allows spaces but ignores leading
spaces, and cannot contain question marks. By default, it is empty.
7 —— Indicates a symmetric encrypted password with a fixed length will follow.
encrypted-password —— A symmetric encrypted password with a fixed length,
which you can copy from another switch configuration. After the encrypted
password is configured, you should use the corresponding unencrypted
password if you re-enter this mode.

If the password you configured here is unencrypted and the global encryption
function is enabled in
