b. Turn the front wheel 90° so that the heavy
spot is positioned as shown.
c. If the heavy spot does not stay in that posi-
tion, install a heavier weight.
d. Repeat steps (b) and (c) until the front wheel
is balanced.

a. Turn the front wheel and make sure it stays at
each position shown.
b. If the front wheel does not remain stationary
at all of the positions, rebalance it.

1. Lubricate:

2. Install:
Speed sensor (to front wheel)

NOTE:
Make sure the speed sensor and the wheel hub
are installed with the two projections meshed
into the two slots respectively.
3. Install:
Front wheel

NOTE:
Make sure the slot "a" in the speedometer gear
unit fits over the stopper "b" on the outer tube.
4. Tighten:
Wheel axle "1"

Use the damper rod holder "2"
Wheel axle pinch bolt "3"

59 Nm (5.9 m•kg, 43 ft•lb)

CAUTION:
Before tightening the wheel axle nut, push
down hard on the handlebar(s) several times
and check if the front fork rebounds smooth-
