Intake camshaft "1"

Exhaust camshaft "2"
G
NOTE:
To prevent the timing chain from falling into the
crankcase, faster it with a wire "3".

6. Remove:
Timing chain guide (exhaust side)

CHECKING THE CAMSHAFTS

1. Check:
Camshaft lobes
G
Blue discoloration/pitting/scratches → Re-
place the camshaft.
2. Measure:
Camshaft lobe dimensions "a" and "b"
G
Out of specification → Replace the camshaft.

33.252–33.352 mm
(1.3091–1.3131 in)
Limit
33.152 mm (1.3052 in)
Intake B
24.956–25.056 mm
(0.9825–0.9865 in)
Limit
24.856 mm (0.9786 in)

(1.3091–1.3131 in)

3. Measure:
Camshaft runout

Out of specification → Replace.

0.030 mm (0.0012 in)
