Area information settings
Area Information is a type of text message which is sent to all
subscribers in a certain network area. The information may be a local
road report or a phone number to a local taxi.
Note:
This feature may not be available on all networks.
To change the area information settings:
Select
1.
Area info
Area Info view appears in the display.
To turn incoming area information messages on or off, select

and then select
info enabled:
cell broadcasts are accepted.

Tap
to implement and save the new settings. The display

returns to the Messaging view.
Each type of Area Information message is identified by a three-digit
code. The list below shows examples of the Area information codes
that exist today.
