4.11 Synchronise Unit Time and Date

If a unit is disconnected from a power source for two or more months, battery discharge may
result in the loss of the unit's clock synchronisation. This condition can produce alarm
indications that do not affect the operation of the unit, but should be corrected using the
following procedure.
The Time Sync item on the Unit menu is used to synchronise the KX-TDA0480's time and date
with the time and date setting of the computer terminal with which the unit is connected.
To update the time and date settings for one or more units:
1.
Check that the time and date setting for the computer terminal is correct and reset the time
if necessary.
2.
Select the Time sync command from the Unit menu.
3.
The MCS displays a Time sync unit selection list.
4.
If necessary, mouse-click on a Unit Name in the list box to select or deselect it for
synchronisation.
5.
Click the Execute button to proceed with the update. Click on the Cancel button to abort
the process.
