4.7.1 RS232C Port Configuration

In section 3.3 the RS233C cable was connected with the terminal to be used for initialising the
KX-TDA0480. The Maintenance Console Software is configured by default to use the port
Com 1 for serial data transfer. If a serial communications port other than Com 1 is being used
on the computer terminal used for unit initialisation, the MCS Options item must be selected
from the Tools menu to reconfigure the Com port.
To reconfigure the serial communications port:
1.
Select Options from the MCS Tools menu.
The MCS displays the Options folders

In the first folder (General), use the Select RS-232C port pull-down list-box to choose the
desired port.
