4.2 Maintenance Console Software Overview

The KX-TDA0480 Maintenance Console Software (MCS) provides an easy-to-use interface
for the installation and management of the KX-TDA0480. The MCS is a Microsoft
98, Windows NT
on systems supporting that operating system. In addition, the computer terminal must have a
floppy drive for installation and a serial port. Finally, to permit communication with the unit
over the LAN, an Ethernet Network card using an RJ45 connector is also required.
The Maintenance Console Software user's interface conforms to Windows 98, Windows NT,
Windows 2000 or Windows XP conventions allowing users to use a mouse to pull down menus,
point and click items, and select operational buttons to execute various operations. For
