Use the Setup Wizard screen 6 to select the method for applying the unit setup information.
Two methods are available: Update Configuration File and Upload to Unit and Reboot.
Update Configuration File
Use the Update Configuration File to record the unit setup information to an MCS file for later
upload to the unit. This method is not recommended for first time installation, since the unit IP
addressing information entered in the Wizard must be written directly to the unit if the unit is
to be accessed using a remote (e.g., LAN) connection.
During subsequent remote (e.g., LAN) sessions, the Unit Information Setup Wizard can be
accessed using the Edit Data and Change Unit Information item on the MCS Unit menu.
Upload to Unit and Reboot
Use the Upload to Unit and Reboot method for new units. In addition to recording the unit setup
information to an MCS file, this method uploads the information directly to the unit, issues the
unit "write to memory" command and reboots the unit.
The settings configured using the Unit Information Setup Wizard take effect following the unit
reboot, allowing the unit to be accessed over a LAN connection.
