39.1 Overview

This chapter provides information about the report screens. Use the Report screens to start or
stop data collection and view various statistics about traffic passing through your ZyWALL.
Data collection may decrease the ZyWALL's traffic throughput rate.

39.1.1 What You Can Do in the Report Screens

• Use the Traffic Statistics screen (see
collection and view statistics.
• Use the Session screen (see
• Use the Email Daily Report screen
how to send daily reports and what reports to send.

39.2 The Traffic Statistics Screen

Click Maintenance > Report > Traffic Statistics to display the Traffic Statistics screen.
This screen provides basic information about the following for example:
• Most-visited Web sites and the number of times each one was visited. This count may not
be accurate in some cases because the ZyWALL counts HTTP GET packets. Please see
Table 221 on page 576
• Most-used protocols or service ports and the amount of traffic on each one
• LAN IP with heaviest traffic and how much traffic has been sent to and from each one
You use the Traffic Statistics screen to tell the ZyWALL when to start and when to stop
collecting information for these reports. You cannot schedule data collection; you have to start
and stop it manually in the Traffic Statistics screen.
