Multi Database

Multi SA's PC, running
Admin, is used to enter:
site and user data into a
Multi database.
To access a Multi unit, a
PC running View, uses
connection data from the
database.

A Multi central database (Multi db) is needed to run the Admin application. Information
about sites, users, alarm stations and site tours is contained in a Multi db. You only need
one Multi db for multiple sites.

When an operator logs on to View, a local copy of data about the operator and the sites
they may access, is created from the information on the Multi db.
Database Creation
Creating a database is a rare event that may be needed as little as once or twice during
the life of your Multi-Media system. Honeywell supports two Microsoft database engines:
Access and SQL-Server.
MinAdmin
Your Multi SA has the option of supplying a Multi db that offers a limited Administrator
account to run MinAdmin software.
