To remove the system board, do the following:

on a diskette or CD image.
Note: Before performing any removals, read "Safety information" on page 103 and "Before
you begin" on page 43.
1. Power-off the system
2. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover and front bezel" on page 47)
Note: This procedure can be done easier by laying the system on its side.
3. Remove the memory board (see "Memory board removal" on page 77).
4. Remove the adapter cards.
5. Remove the air duct.
6. Remove the fan assembly.
