Adapter considerations
Before you install adapters, read the following:
v Review the documentation that comes with the adapter, and follow those

When you handle static-sensitive devices, take precautions to avoid

2. Turn off the computer and peripheral devices.
3. Remove all external cables from the computer; then remove the cover. For
more information, see "Removing the cover and front bezel" on page 47.
4. Determine which PCI expansion slot you will use for the adapter.
5. If you are installing a full-sized adapter in one of the PCI slots on the system
board, rotate the PCI support bracket out of your way.
