Diagnostic error messages indicate that a problem exists; they are not intended to be used to identify a failing part. Troubleshooting and servicing of complex problems that are indicated by error messages should be performed by trained service personnel. Sometimes the first error to occur causes additional errors. Connecting external options If you install an optional SCSI adapter, or use the secondary channel on the integrated SCSI controller for external devices, you can attach external SCSI devices, such as a SCSI storage expansion enclosure, to the computer. To use secondary channel for external SCSI devices, remove the SCSI knockout from the rear of the computer and secure the free end of the secondary channel cable in the new opening.
