You can navigate through the menus with the
knurled wheel and the buttons 1. Turning the
knurled wheel corresponds to turning the con-
troller. Instead of pressing and moving the con-
troller to the left, right, forward or back, you
press the appropriate button, see page 14.

Changing batteries

1. Press in catch and remove cover for battery
compartment.
2. Change the batteries. The type and
installed arrangement are indicated on the
base of the battery compartment.
3. Close the cover.

Dispose of the old battery only at an
authorised collecting point or hand it in to
BMW Service.<
Connecting headphones
Socket for the headphones:
3.5 mm ratchet plug.
Selecting loudspeakers/headphones
1. Press one of the buttons 1.
2. Select "Rear entertainment via loudspeak-
ers" or "Rear entertainment via head-
phones".
3. Press the button.
The audio source last selected is displayed:

Headphones are selected.
> Loudspeakers are selected.
To exit the menu:
Select arrow and press
Switching off headphones
1. Press one of the buttons 1.
2. Select "Switch off headphones".
