4 Replacement Procedures
Removing the HDD
To remove the HDD, first remove the battery pack and optical drive, then follow the steps below.
1. Remove four M2.5×6 black screws securing the aluminum shield covering the HDD
and lift it out.
2. Gently pull the HDD toward the computer's front panel to disconnect it from the system
board, then lift it out.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the HDD case unless you are going to replace the
HDD.
