Installing a BBU

Two different BBU fixations are available:
– BBU fixation 1: is used in servers equipped with a BBU carrier plate.
– BBU fixation 2: is used in servers equipped with shoulder screw caps.

Installing BBU (BBU fixation 1)

You can install up to two Battery Backup Units (BBU).
Ê Open the server and remove system fan 2 (or 2&4) as described in the
chapter "Preparation" on page

Ê Loosen the knurled screw and remove the BBU carrier plate in the direction
of the arrow.
