Before YouStart
1. PlacetheTreadClimber ®fitnessmachinein yourworkout a rea.
Phcethe machine ona clean,hard,levelsurface,freefrom unwanted materialor otherobjectsthat may
hamper y ourabilityto move freely.A rubbermat canbe usedbelowthe machine to prevent t he release of
static electricityandprotectyourflooring.
Themachine canbe moved byoneor morepersons. M ake surethat yourownphysical s trengthiscapableof
safelymoving the machine.
2. Adjustthe intensitysettingson the Hydraulic Cylinders.
Note:Initially, t he settings oneachcylinder should match.Begin with eachcylinder set tothe central,white
dot onthe dial.
3. Examine below the Treadles f or anyobjects.Besureit is clearbelow the machine.
4. Connect the powercordto themachine and into a grounded ACWallOutlet.

Putthe power c ordalongside t he machine, out ofyourwaywhenyoudismount t he machine. Avoidstepping on
the power c ordandplug.
Note:TheTreadOlimber
®fitnessmachine isdesigned t o plugdirectlyintoa properly wiredandgrounded three
prong 120V outlet.If anextension c ordmustbe used, b esureit isa heavy dutymodel, r atedfor 15A.
5. If youusethe HeartRateMonitor, f ollowthe Remote HeartRateMonitordirections.
6. Switchon the power. P ower i s nowsuppliedto the motorandConsole.

7. Straddle the beltsand standonthe SideFoot S upport P latforms.Putthe SafetyKeyintothe Safety Keyhole andclip
the Safety Keycordto yourclothing.
• Examine t he Safety Keyandbesureit isconnected t otheConsole c orrectly.
Always attachthe SafetyKey Clipto yourclothingduringworkouts.
If thereis an emergency, pull out theSafetyKeyto shut off the power t o the BeltMotor. T hiswill quicklystopthe
belts (brace yourself-this is an abruptstop).
