Location of Battery
The following illustration shows the location of the battery on the DPQ2425.
Removing and Replacing the Battery
Follow these steps to remove and replace the battery. You can remove and replace
the battery without disconnecting the AC power source.
1 Gently press the battery cover on the side of the modem to open the battery
cover and gain access to the battery compartment.
2 Slide the battery lock upward (toward the front panel LEDs) to disengage the
battery lock.
3 Grasp the plastic strip on the front of the battery and gently slide the battery
forward to remove it from the battery compartment.
4 Insert a new battery into the battery compartment.
5 Close the battery compartment door. The battery lock will automatically engage.
Important: It may take as long as 24 hours for each battery to charge fully.
Note: Dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations and
instructions from your service provider.
