To configure MPX1000 receiver display device settings:
1.
Using a browser client, access the web interface of the MPX receiver either directly or via the
transmitter web interface.
2.
From the Receiver Menu, select the Display Device Settings page. Figure 3.6 illustrates the
available settings.
3.
By default, the Override Display Device Modes checkbox is de-selected. In this state, the
receiver will poll the display device for EDID information and pass it to the MPX transmitter,
which in turn will pass it to the source device. By selecting this checkbox, the receiver will
cease to poll for EDID information and instead substitute self-generated EDID information
based upon configuration settings provided on this web page.
This feature becomes useful when an attached display device does not provide valid EDID
information or if a device such as a video scaler blocks the normal passing of EDID
information from the display to the receiver. You may also find this feature useful should you
wish to restrict the resolutions available to users of the source device.
To provide custom EDID settings:
a.
Select the Override Display Device Modes checkbox. This will cause a table of
resolutions to appear.
b.
Select the resolutions that you would like to make available to the source device. Be sure
to select only those resolutions that are supported by the attached display device and do
not de-select all resolutions.
c.
Apply the changes.
