Although NetScreen-5000 Series modules are preinstalled before shipping, you may
find it necessary to remove or reseat modules to suit the special security needs of
your network.
Always be sure the chassis power switch is off before you remove or
WARNING:
install a Secure Port Module (SPM) or management module.
To remove a module from a NetScreen-5000 Series system:
1. Release the module from the chassis by loosening the screws.
2. Rotate the ejector/injector levers to disengage the module from the backplane.
