The following illustration depicts the scanner components that require cleaning.
4. Dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with Xerox Platen Glass Lens and Mirror Cleaner and
wipe the Document Glass.
NOTE
Using excessive force when cleaning the glass may damage the glass and cause
poor copy quality.
5. Visually inspect the glass to ensure that all dirt, glue, and other residue have been
removed.
6. Place a small amount of cleaning fluid on the cloth and clean the front and rear Feed
Rollers.
NOTE
Rotate the rolls as you clean them to ensure that the entire roll surface is clean.
7. Place a small amount of Xerox Platen Glass Lens and Mirror Cleaner on a clean,
lint-free cloth, and clean the Calibration Strip.
8. Wipe the Scanner Sensors with a dry, lint-free cloth.
9. Lower the Scanner Unit to the closed position.
NOTE
Take care not to move the Media Thickness Lever when lowering the Scanner
Unit.
