RAM Disk
Purpose:
To allocate memory to the RAM Disk file system for the Secure Print and Proof Print features. The change becomes
effective after the printer is turned off and then on again.
Values:
Does not allocate memory to the RAM Disk file system. Secure Print and Proof Print jobs will abort and be recorded

Allocates memory to the RAM Disk file system automatically.

NOTE:
The RAM Disk menu is only displayed when 256 MB or more of optional memory card is installed on the
printer.
NOTE:
Restart your printer when you change the setting for the RAM Disk menu.

Substitute Tray

Purpose:
Specifies whether or not to use another size paper when the paper that is loaded in the specified tray does not match the
paper size settings for the current job.
Values:
No tray size substitute accepted.
Off*
Substitutes paper of next largest size. When there is no larger paper size, the printer substitutes paper of
Larger Size
nearest size.
Substitutes paper of nearest size.

Size
Substitutes paper from the multipurpose feeder.

Maintenance

Use the Maintenance menu to initialize the NV (non-volatile) memory, configure the plain paper quality adjustment
settings, and configure the security settings.

Purpose:
To specify the paper density.
