Installation Procedure (Windows 2000 or later)

The procedure for installing the print driver differs depending on how DocuPrint C1190 FS and the
computer are connected.
Installing when connected via TCP/IP
Installing when connected via USB
Installing when connected via TCP/IP
To install the print driver from the Software Pack CD-ROM:
1.
Insert the CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive. If the installer does not launch, do the
following:
a.
Click Start, and then click Run.
b.
In the Run window, enter: <CD drive>:\Launcher.exe.
c.
Press the Enter button.

From the Main tab, select Print Driver.
3.
Select the installation method you want to use, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
Note:
SimpleMonitor is a separate option from the print driver. To install SimpleMonitor, use the Software
Pack CD-ROM.
Installing when connected via USB
1.
Turn off the printer.
2.
Connect the computer and C1190 SF with a USB cable.
3.
Turn on the printer.
If a setup screen requests for you to specify the driver's location while new hardware is being detected,
insert the Software Pack CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive. Found New Hardware
Wizard is displayed.
Note:
If the Driver CD Kit screen starts, press the Exit button to close the screen.

Specify by following the example below where the driver to be stored. Never select Search for a
suitable driver for my device (recommended).
For x32 driver: "(CD-ROM drive name):\Eng\FXPS\PCL\Win2000_XP"
For x64 driver: "(CD-ROM drive name):\Eng\FXPS\PCL\x64"
5.
Continue the procedure according to the instructions of the installer.
6.
Follow the procedure below according to the OS you are using.
Windows 2000: Select Start > Settings > Printers.
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003: Select Start > Printers and Faxes.
Windows Server 2008: Select Start > Control Panel > Printers.
Windows Vista: Select Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Printers.
The Printers screen is displayed.
Once the print driver has been installed, a printer icon is added on the Printers screen.
7.
Right click on the printer icon, and select Properties or Runs as administrator > Properties
(Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista).
The Properties dialog box is displayed.
8.
Verify that a USB port is specified in Print to the following port(s) or Print to port (Windows XP,
Windows Server 2003/2008, or Windows Vista) on the Port tab.
